We welcome children of all gender expressions and neurotypes!

Join us for D&D and other tabletop roleplaying games, crafts, miniature painting for our older group, live-action role play, and additional workshops with archery, swords, and medieval games.

Our summer camp will take place at a combination of The Family Centre at 65 Hanson Ave, Kitchener, and our location at 28 Weber Street West, with the potential for some off-site field trips as well.

Our staff are trained in Circle of Security Classroom, First Aid/CPR, Mental Health First Aid, and we have a 1:4 Counsellor to Camper ratio.

Additional Details

Each day includes:

  • a D&D or other TTRPG adventure!
  • options for miniature painting and other creative expression
  • a minimum of two snack breaks & a lunch break.Β Food for lunches and snacks is not included. Please send your campers with (nut free) food!
  • at least an hour of physical activity in the gym

Workshops & Field Trips: We are partnered with Knight School Inc to deliver additional programming (schedule coming soon!)

What to Wear: Clothes that are comfortable and easy to move in.

What to Bring:

  • indoor running shoes for our activity time
  • a labelled water bottle
  • food for snacks & lunch
  • any medically necessary prescriptions / Epi-pen / etc.
  • personal items as needed for support

The majority of our campers have low-medium support needs. We have a variety of adaptive practices built into our camp, including:

  • fidgets available
  • co-created code of conduct with each player group
  • cards for non-verbal communication
  • separate area for self-led play or quiet time (perler beads, colouring, etc.)
  • the ability to take breaks from the room with a counsellor if needed
  • snack breaks when kids are hungry vs. on a strict time schedule
  • adjusted lighting and noise-cancelling headphones

Personal Sensory Considerations:Β As desired, some personal items such as books may be brought as a quiet activity, or any sensory-related personal items such as headphones. We will have a comfortable quiet activity area set up for both camper groups for those who require a break. We will also have a few pairs of over-ear noise cancelling headphones and in-ear plugs, and encourage you to pack what your child requires for their comfort.

Summer Camp Counsellors

All Camp StaffΒ have their Vulnerable Sector Police Checks and are certified in Standard First Aid and CPR C & AED.

We are aΒ Circle of Security ClassroomΒ and we lead our camp child-led whenever possible -- participation is not forced, and observing is participating!

Inclusion supportΒ is provided by AuDHD staff who have received extensive training in childhood mental health, trauma, and attachment. Our staff are specificallyΒ notΒ educational assistants, social workers, or behaviour therapists. We aim to implement a variety of neuro-affirming approaches that helps to ease overwhelm, especially for our PDA and RSD-sensitive players. If you have any specific requirements that you're seeking, let us know and we can plan to accommodate.

This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada through the Canada Summer Jobs program.

Summer Camp Refund/Cancellation Policy

A minimum of 5 campers per age group is required for each week of camp to run. If we don't hit this number for a given week, we will notify you with as much notice as possible and will provide a full refund.

Single Day registration cancellations prior to 14 days of the registered date will receive a full refund.

No refunds will be offered within 48 hours of the program start.

Daily registration packages will not be refunded -- days may be rescheduled, and any days left unused by the end of summer may be extended for use with future PD Day or holiday break day programming.

Programs missed for illness or other personal reasons will not be rescheduled or refunded.
