Adult Therapeutic Gaming

Tabletop roleplaying games are a powerful vehicle for exploring a range of concepts - including processing grief, anger, or any range of emotions, or revisiting difficult situations or concepts in a safe environment that is disconnected from the direct experience.

Using the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop roleplaying game format, our certified Therapeutic Gamemaster will lead the group through collaborative storytelling with an individualized approach based on each player's therapeutic goals.

Escape into a different world for an evening

Therapeutic storylines are told in 12-week long cohorts, with each session running for a total of two hours (includes breaks, welcome, debrief, and game play). The first session (Session 0) will involve discussing building characters, establishing the game environment, and basics of gameplay. Each session afterwards will continue a storyline where each player character has the opportunity to work towards their goals, culminating in a final end of story session.

Our approach is rooted in the Circle of Security Classroom model, which allows our experienced narrators to build a safe, secure space to organize their feelings and be held in their vulnerability through imagination and roleplay.
